Food for Thought

Dear Sarah Naiman,
We, the public, applaud you for your strong voice at the AMS delegates debate last night, taking place at Place Vanier. We’re delighted that you’ve chosen to run for VP Admin and we’re willing to give “unity and community”, the slogan you’ve chosen for this campaign a shot. Sure it’s kind of cutesy teetering on the edge of tacky- but we can get behind that. After all we support lots of kind of questionable things on campus already, like the P.I.T, or the entire Buchanan building complex. We are more or less punch drunk in love with the 100 000 dollars a year the AMS has dedicated to child daycare. We are so pleased that currently we are contemplating way to acquire a child of our very own, just so we can partake in such a laudable, and accommodating service. So we are listening, and we heard you when you said you don’t want to sound like some kind of corporate whore. Dear Sarah, your lips say no, but your no-nonsense, potentially threatening footwear is screaming yes.

Your pointy toe and heel has potentially already scared off a portion of your competion, as we’ve just recieved word that Liz Ferris has withdrawn from the race. While that may have been the point we’d like to point out that we, the audience, are also kind of intimidated. Pehaps invest in a ballet flat, no one fears ballerinas.
